GS1 Print: for smooth logistics
The GS1 transport label is the ticket to the world of logistics. Best known is the use of the GS1-128 barcode. In combination with other information using data identifiers, the GS1 transport label optimises supply chains and provides the necessary transparency. With GS1 Print, you create the transport label with the matching information.
The SSCC (Serial Shipping Container Code) is the core element of the transport label. The 18-digit identification number is unique worldwide and is used for seamless shipment tracking all the way to the recipient. The SSCC is mandatory information and is shown in the lowest barcode on the GS1 label.
In addition to the unique identification of the transport unit, further information such as the Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) of the included trade unit and its quantity can be listed. Additional information such as the manufacturing batch, dates and gross weight can also be provided.
